This is what being the best does to a country over time. You lose sight of how you became the best and envelop yourself in this sense of superiority. Eventually entitlement seeps in and festers like cancer. Corruption becomes the norm, justice dissipates altogether and power becomes an illusion that can no longer be backed up in reality if challenged.
That is the United States today.
Did you know there was a discussion on capitol hill as to whether or not people who committed bestiality should be eligible to be FBI agents? Yes. This is not a joke. As our health care is ripped from us, prices are soaring, and Trump has not ended the multiple wars he created, out government is talking about bestiality.
Do you know what else happened. The FBI sent out some sort of notice informing ICE agents that women are catfishing them. I have no confidence in the U.S. to combat cyber-attacks from foreign nations. So, what is the FBI’s main concern…women catfishing ICE agents.
Let’s not even start on the Epstein files. The U.S. absolutely has a perverted tiered sense of justice. If you have money and/or influence, nothing happens to you. No matter what you do, you will remain protected. Other nations are asking for the release of the Epstein files and we still dodge those requests because rich men might get hurt. Our government doesn’t give a damn about the girls, now women, who were hurt. Did you know Jim Jordan still hasn’t shown up for a subpoena from 2020? Did you know that the punishment for bad behavior in congress is a censure? What is that? It’s someone saying you did a bad thing. There is no actual punishment, fine, or consequence. It’s all a bunch of BS.
This may not be true – I haven’t vetted it, but supposedly the reason American bar tenders are responsible for your drinking is because a politician drove home drunk and got arrested. The politician blamed the bartender. So now, in America, another person is responsible for your drinking habits. Whether the story is real, the result is real. Maybe it’s the same in other countries, but the fact that a bartender is responsible for your drinking, but insurance companies are responsible for your health instead of doctors seems wrong. It’s all about profit in America, not people. The justice should have been that the politician should have gone to jail and the bartender should be able to his/her job without fear of retribution from political figures.
I don’t have proof of this, but it is my observation from what I read. I don’t think we are pumping any money into our justice system. Courts are overwhelmed. Court dates are set almost a year into the future. (Yet, the statute of limitations doesn’t change. Part of me feels this is intentional by people like Trump and Maga. We can stall until the crime cannot be punished.) I would love to know the amount of money we pump into our justice system compared to our military budget.
I’m not a social media person. I don’t know how to do fancy videos or clever memes. What we do have, though, is the ability to share with each other. Right now, I want to share with the world how broken the U.S. is. It has been broken for a long time. All of you out there have been living under the illusion that we are great. If there is one thing we can all thank Trump for…is bringing light to the world just how corrupt and fragile the U.S. is.
There is no justice, no integrity. Profit rules every aspect of our lives. We will hate and injure each other just to protect ourselves. Most of us are uneducated and fall prey to propaganda. We don’t have health insurance. We can’t afford education. Most of us don’t have a way to retire. We can’t afford a home. Most of us lease cars rather than buy because we want to create an illusion of having money knowing can’t purchase a car. Or we lease them because we don’t have the credit to take out a loan for one. Our national debt crossed the line this year. Most Americans are in huge credit card debt because we can’t afford to live off our wages.
This country is a batshit crazy joke. Everything about America being great is a colossal lie. I am glad the world is learning this. I hope you learn from our mistakes.
