The U.S. has been broken for the last 40 years. It started back in the 80s with Trickle Down Economics and reduction in educational resources. The propaganda really took off in the 90s. By the 2,000s non-white births exceeded white births. White people understood that they would be in a minority when it came to voters in the 2020s. This is when they started to demonize immigrants and anyone who is not a white Christian. They wanted to create fear and a narrative of hate. They created wars to distract and create an illusionary enemy. That and the fact that wars created an economic boom for the wealthy and allowed billions of dollars to be siphoned into government contracts with no accountability. This is why a hammer cost the tax payers $35,000.
The fist crack in the American dream occurred in the 1990s. It took a decade for the realization that Trickle Down Economics was a farce. By the 2,000s the cracks spread and became deeper. By the 2010s the American dream was so broken it was cracked like a deep woven spiderweb. By the 2020s the glass was all but shattered.
If you don’t believe me, then ask anyone trying to buy a house, while financing a car. Forget a vacation. Forget getting sick. Forget going to college. People are PISSED!
What’s funny is I thought it was just in America. Apparently Europeans are pissed as well. Europeans are burning things because they don’t have guns. What is going to happen in America if we get to that same breaking point? We are already shooting people en masse under normal circumstances. What happens if there is a massive breaking point like in Europe. I am not saying this because I want the violence. I am saying this because I am scared. Our gun violence numbers are HUGE under normal circumstances. What happens when the dam breaks?
I know the Republicans think they have it all figured out. They will cheat, intimidate, declare martial law, turn the troops on citizens (which they are already doing through ICE). The difference between between Russia, N. Korea, Old Germany, and other dictatorships is that there are over 400 million civilian guns in America. Trump used to have that under control. Most of the people with guns supported him. He went to far. Now they don’t. This whole thing is a mess.
We are no longer the example. That ended in the 90s. I have said this before. Funnel money into education and the judiciary. Don’t allow loopholes in the trial system and delays after delays. Create enough courts that people are tried in a timely manner and make sure the courts have the ability to enforce their decisions. Make sure the court system has checks and balances, not through appeals, but lateral checks and balances.
